Comprehensive Diagnostics

Our standard diagnostic service is performed on the majority of the computers that come through our doors.  This service uses a full range of tests including:

• Hardware Diagnostics:  We fully test the memory and hard drive(s) on every computer checked in for a Comprehensive Diagnostic.  We also test the power supply with a special tester that ensures proper voltages on all parts of the power supply.  If needed, we will stress test components such as the processor to make sure that they are stable.




• Software Troubleshooting:  If a problems arises from software that is installed, we can troubleshoot this as well.  Software is a highly variable component, as there are millions of different programs out there, and they all can interact a little differently.  We have years of experience to help us find problem programs and rectify the situation.




• Component Level Diagnostics:  On certain parts, we can diagnose component level problems.  Items such as capacitors and power ports on laptops, to name a few, can be diagnosed and replaced.




• Virus Activity & Threat Detection:  All machines have a basic virus scan run as well to detect other issues that may be present.  This scan does not include removal and is only for detection.  A further virus scan service can be performed with customer approval if virus activity is detected.
